At Christmas time we frequently hear stories of the angel star, wise men from the east and shepherds watching their flocks. We hear of Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem, and of course the baby king born in a stable. But there are other parts of the story little known or seldom mentioned.
The place of Jesus birth and the circumstances around it were the ultimate sacrifice for God and his Son. For Jesus to give up his glory in heaven and His intimate relationship with the Father, to become one of us. God with us. God wrapped in skin. It was the greatest condescension of all time.
Join us this Sabbath at the UCA Church with speaker, Pastor Jim Kilmer, as we explore the mysterious surroundings of Christ’s birth and life. Expect some special guests from the animal kingdom for the children’s story. You might find this Sabbath to be the discovery of something that will change your view of the Christmas forever!
